Scripture
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." — Romans 12:1
The Fire
God doesn't want your leftovers. He doesn't want your spare time, your extra money, your leftover energy. He wants everything. All of you. On the altar. Burning. Living sacrifice. That means you climb onto the altar voluntarily. Daily. And you stay there while the fire burns away everything that isn't holy.
The problem with living sacrifices? They keep crawling off the altar. The fire gets hot. The cost gets high. The death gets real. So they climb down, dust themselves off, and go back to living for themselves. Abraham took Isaac up the mountain. He built the altar. He bound his son. He raised the knife. That's sacrifice—complete surrender of what you love most.
What is your Isaac? What are you clutching that God is demanding? Your career? Your relationship? Your reputation? Your dreams? Your comfort? Your rights? God won't bless what you won't surrender. He won't anoint what you won't sacrifice. He won't use what you won't release. You want revival? Put it all on the altar. You want power? Burn everything else. You want God's presence? Clear out every competing affection.
The fire is not meant to destroy you—it's meant to purify you. To burn away the dross. To consume the worthless. To refine what's valuable. But you must stay on the altar. When it hurts, stay. When it costs, stay. When everyone else thinks you're crazy, stay. When the flesh screams for relief, stay. This is your reasonable service. Not extraordinary. Not optional. Reasonable.
Expected. The minimum response to a God who gave everything for you. Stop negotiating with God. Stop bargaining. Stop trying to determine how little you can give and still call yourself committed. Give Him everything. Hold back nothing. Sacrifice completely.
The Mission
Physically kneel before God for 30 minutes. Hands and palms open. Speak out loud everything you're surrendering to Him. Your plans, your relationships, your possessions, your reputation, your future. Release it all. Don't get up until you've held nothing back.
